Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.
Isaiah 54:2–3 (NLT)
At the beginning of each year, our Pastors invest time praying and listening for God to speak a word that will guide us throughout the year. This year, we believe that word to be EXPAND!
In the Bible, the term expand is usually in relation to territory — land, your house and home. Territory refers to much more than the physical land we stand on, but also that which belongs to you — your finances, children, marriage, friendships, businesses, sphere of influence, gifting’s…(the list could go on and on.)
Expansion is one of God’s promises to his chosen people. In case you didn’t know, or needed a reminder, YOU, the church, are His chosen people!!!
We believe that, for 2018, it’s God’s promise to bless you, exalt you, and enlarge your territory!
According to the scripture of the year, Isaiah 54:2–3, God is calling us to MORE! He is telling us to:
God is calling us to action! Therefore we must ENLARGE, we must BUILD, we must SPREAD, and finally DON’T HOLD BACK!
…He will give you this land if you are careful to obey all the commands I have given you- if you always love the Lord your God and walk in his ways.
Deuteronomy 19:9 (NLT)
As a result of our obedience to God, we believe that we will soon be bursting at the seams!
What this means is that the expansion, enlargement and blessing in our lives, families and church in 2018 will be so much that all those around us will see it.
Like a pregnant woman nearing the end of her term, even if we wanted to hide and conceal our growth, we won’t be able to because we’ll be overflowing!
Attached are some backgrounds our creative team designed for you to use on phones, tablets and computers. We pray that they remind you of God’s promise of enlargement in your life.
Remember, 2018 is your year to EXPAND!
