About my family nucleus:

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Angelle Sorapuru for 10 years. We have two amazing boys, Jonathan Sorapuru, Jr. (8) and Nathan Sorapuru (1) .

Salvation Experience:

I gave my life to Jesus when I was 9 years old at a Bishop McManus Academy chapel service. Bishop Owen McManus Jr. was the speaker and when the altar call came I went down and gave my life to Jesus Christ.

How long have you been a member of City Church?

I have been a member at City Church for 28 years.

What areas of Ministry do you oversee?

I oversee the Live Production Ministry, Jr. High and High Ministry (Youth Pastor). Also, I am the Administrator at Bishop McManus Academy.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Never make the Road so narrow that you can't walk it.

Who has made the biggest impact on your life?

My mother (Tina McCovins), Bishop Owen McManus Jr. and Pastor Tammy McManus, Anthony Martin.

What’s something that you do well that most people won’t know about you?

BBQ on the Grill. After grilling for about 5 times, I’ve now made it to Master Chef status.What are you passionate about?Seeing people find their purpose in Christ.....and Sports!!!

What was one of the most profound or impactful moments that you’ve experienced in life?

I would have to site three experiences: 1. The day the I married my wife Angelle Sorapuru 2. The day that both of my sons were born (8/4/2012 and 1/8/2019) 3. The day that I was ordained a Pastor at City Church New Orleans

Where is your dream vacation?

Monte Carlo for sure!
