Bryan Trosclair District Pastor

About my family nucleus:
My beautiful and fun loving wife, Wendy, and I met in high school while playing volleyball; I was in 10th grade and she was in 9th. We dated and broke up about three times before getting married when we were in our early twenties. The day was September 25,1999, so of course we partied like it was 1999! We’ve done the same thing ever since. Wendy’s the love of my life and my greatest friend. We have a son together, Ayden. Even though he’s in elementary school, it always feels like I am talking with someone much older. He’s smart, kind and always wants to make people laugh. We love him so much!
Salvation Experience:
I gave my heart to Jesus in a chapel service when I was a child. When we were kids, my parents took my brother and me to church and put us in a Christian school. I distinctly remember loving Jesus and asking him to come into my heart. As we got older, we were no longer attending church and we weren’t in a Christian school. At the time, my life felt hopeless. One day, when I was 14 years old, I was sleeping when my brother told me that our grandfather passed away. That night, as I laid on the sofa, the Lord asked me: "If you would die where would you go?"I knew that despite giving my life to Jesus as a child, I’d allowed sin back in my life and I didn’t have a relationship with Jesus. But that night, I asked Him to forgive me of all my sins. I asked him to come into my heart and save me. I’ll admit that there was one area of my life that I wanted to keep, but He told me I couldn’t have Him unless I gave Him my whole heart. Really, I wanted Him more than the sin. My life and my heart completely changed. As a 14 year old, I felt like I needed a home church, so I asked the Lord, where should I go? He directed me to New Life Christian Center; that’s what our church was called before Hurricane Katrina. About a year later, I walked through the doors. For many years, I walked to church, but ultimately I’m glad that I started to walk with Jesus.
